3M 69

3M 69 is a white, 7-mil (0.178 mm) thick tape composed of a 5-mil (0.127 mm) glass cloth backing coated on one side with a non-corrosive, high-temperature, flame retardant, thermosetting silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive.

3M 69 Features

At extreme temperatures ranging from low to 392 ºF (200 ºC).
Optimally insulates with no shrinking or burning.
Non–corrosive, solvent-resistant, thermosetting silicone adhesive.

3M 69 Applications

They are commonly used in UL applications rated up to 600v in dry locations as defined in the National Electrical Code.
Commonly used in a variety of coil/transformer and motor applications including as an outer wrap for bobbin wound coils, banding arbor wound coils, lead pad hold-down, end turns and lead anchor and connections.
Use as coil cover, anchor, banding, a core layer, and crossover insulation.
It holds in place on cables and can be written on as marking tape.
